Two Story Town

Growing up my daddy said we're lucky
Momma said we have all that we need
Life was everything I ever wanted
So why would I ever want to leave

But it’s hard to see all this town has to offer
Once you’ve made up your mind to get away
But different don’t always mean better
Some will finally find that out someday

But this two story town will always be around
Though some will go and some will want to stay
It’s a simple life and time but it suits me just fine
But there’s two sides to every story so they say

We’ve got a lot questions to be answered
And burning desires they must tend
It’s hard to know just which doors that we should open
And where we’ll find ourselves in the end

So we follow our heart to where it leads us
For some it’s going back from where they came
So if you’re a thinking bout returning
You’ll be glad to know that nothin's really changed
